Austin VanBemmelen plays the way that a point guard should play, looking to get his teammates involved as well as leading the defensive charge for his teammates. He has good quickness and handles the ball very well. Austin places a great deal of pressure on opposing defenses by getting into the paint.  Austin gets the ball to his teammates in places where they  can score easily. He
also has the ability to take contact and adjust in the air, and finish at the rim (scored 51 points in a game). He plays the game with patience.  He is also capable of changing speeds he has good quickness and lateral movement. Austin has a good basketball IQ and the confidence and scoring ability to put up big numbers. He can drive, draw and kick when he draws multiple defenders.
