Houston is a prospect that is really going to pick up steam in the spring and summer heading into his senior season. He is a big, strong armed pocket passer that is also an adequate-to-good athlete with the ball in his hands. He is a guy that really needs to be tracked because he is in the wrong offense to showcase his talents. Plays for one of the most prominent, successful high school programs in the country and they have been a veer based scheme for years which does not give Houston many opportunities through the air. He has great size and huge upside to develop as a passer. If he was playing at Mater Dei (Santa Ana) he would have 20 offers by spring. He shows arm strength and accuracy and he can certainly make all the throws. He has terrific height and has

no problem seeing the field and knowing where to go with the football. Has a ton of room for frame development and bulk. Works a lot of the short passing game in this scheme and the ball comes out quickly and with authority. Shows consistent drop speed and footwork away from center and displays nice timing and anticipation for when and where to go with the ball. Shows impressive arm strength and RPM's to all levels of the field. Can really zip the ball to intermediate areas of the field when he needs to and has shown the ability to drive the ball vertically with good power and accuracy. He has zip, but also shows touch, can change ball speeds and throws a very catchable football. Does an excellent job of leading receivers and putting the ball where only his intended target can get to it. Has shown he is more than capable of making a variety of throws that are necessary at the next level. Houston has a lot of upside because he is not advanced in terms of being in an intricate passing game so there is a high ceiling for development considering his physical tools as they stand now.
