Brent Boyd is a good athlete with good quickness and speed, he has a great second gear. He plays multiple positions on offense, his feet, hips and ability to close on the ball will tempt most coaches to place him on defense to develop as a corner or safety. As a running back and receiver he shows balance and body control, he is quick when changing directions and hitting the open crease. He shows great vision and the ability to stop-and-start on a dime when he sees something

open up. He is very elusive and will make defenders miss in space on a consistent basis. He runs excellent routs and consistently catches the ball away from his body. Defensively, he has great closing burst he can turn and run deep with fast receivers. He plays on instinct and relies on his hips and ability to accelerate to the ball.
