Dillon Abell is a tough football player that gets better the more you watch him and he is versatile enough to be a factor in a variety of roles and most importantly, he will come up and lay a solid hit on you in run support. He is an excellent player with a sturdy build and really packs a punch as an explosive football player when he closes. He shows good burst to the ball while it's in the air, he can change directions without losing much speed in transition and he has the man-to-man cover

skills to stay with most receivers in the short-to-intermediate passing game. He has fluid hips, he is fast enough to prevent most receivers from getting behind him and he has the second gear to recover when he gets caught out of position. Dillon plays with a non-stop motor he is a good open field tackler and is not afraid to mix it up. He is a big hitter and loves to attack-- plays like a safety. However, Dillon is a better fit as a cover two corner at this stage and must learn to play more disciplined at times. Can be out of control as a tackler and grab when he is capable of breaking down and securing the tackle. Dillon has a chance to develop into a good college player; he has some things to iron out. He is also a solid running back and is capable of playing that position in college. With Dillon it just depends on where the coach thinks he can contribute the most.
