This is a compact, low to the ground rugged back that really packs a punch. Drew Ervin is a load and is capable of wearing down the defense with his strong lower body and leg drive. He possesses much better top-end speed than his 40 time would lead you to believe. He runs with terrific leverage, body lean and power for his size. Pad level is outstanding and he does not go down easily. Will break many tackles with leg drive and initial power. Drew does an excellent job

of keeping his legs moving. Shows terrific vision and patience. Really sees things open up well in front of him. He is excellent at attacking the hole and then bouncing the ball outside and turning the corner. Shrugs would-be tacklers off him to gain extra yards. Has very good elusiveness and good hips for his squatty build. He will show a sneaky extra gear once he's racing down the sideline. This is one of those backs that isn't flashy but he is a workhorse with deceptive quickness and speed that can carry the load fulltime. Drew Ervin has the demeanor and endurance to be a force in the 4th quarter.
