Grant Childress is one good wide receiver. He is well groomed and has some of the best hands we have seen in a while.  He has very good initial quickness. Shows some moves off the line and has good strength to beat the press. He gets to top speed quickly; he can run a 3.99 shuttle and has a 35" vertical, he ran a 4.49-40 at the UCLA football combine. Grant will be a big-play deep threat; he does a terrific job of adjusting to the ball in the air. He will catch the ball over his shoulder and shows a second gear when tracking the ball down the field. He attacks defenders off the ball, makes decisive cuts as a route runner and shows great burst out of the break on

short-to-intermediate routes. He's an intermediate first down machine and an open-field terror in the short passing attack. He is so difficult to tackle in the open field because he runs like a tailback. Grant is deadly in the shorter and mid-range passing game because of his yards after catch ability. He is the complete package; he has the speed and agility to be used on the outside as a deep threat and the durability to withstand a beating when catching over the middle. Childress will excel in every level of the passing game. As a defensive back he shows quick feet and good overall athletic ability. Can flip his hips quickly and shows the body control to keep with the double-move. Does not lose much in transition. Stays balanced in his pedal and shows good initial burst out of it.
