Isaiah Austin 6' 11"  200 lbs. C 2012

After going scoreless and playing only 11 minutes in the first game of the Marshall County Hoop Fest Austin displayed the skill and off the charts upside that I heard so much about in the second game going 5/5 including 2/2 from behind the arc. This super long and rail thin post changes the game with his length and skill when aggressive. Austin is a good ball handler and passer for his size. He is much more comfortable on the perimeter mainly because of his lack of strength and
confidence that prevents him from being affective in the low post. He blocks shots and defensive rebounds in his area because of length not strength. He has good hands and runs the floor good not great. He looks and moves like he might not be done growing and shows his youth by playing hard only in spurts. Post players like Austin develop a little slower but when the light comes on they become a special player and this young big man is no different. When he does find the low post he has an excellent jump hook with either hand which is unblockable once he elevates.
