Jesus Valero is a very active safety with a good combination of size, speed and athleticism. Is a smooth and fluid athlete that shows good range in the middle of the field. Has good size, long arms and good hands. Can accelerate and builds speed as he goes, he is fast enough and quick enough to make plays in coverage. Shows the ability to turn and run and can cover tight ends, backs and some slot receivers. Is an intelligent safety that is crafty in coverage and has very good mechanics.

He has a nice frame, but he really needs to add some bulk and upper body strength. He will flash the ability to punish receivers over the middle, times hits well and he shows the range to be a sideline-to-sideline chase guy. Can sift through the trash and does a good job of breaking down in space and tackling in the open field. He uses his athleticism to get around blocks and chase down plays in the run game. The more you watch him the more he grows on you.
