Josh McGowan is a reliable offensive lineman,  he’s very determined and gives a great effort. Has great hands; uses them as a weapon and really locks on to the defender. Keeps them inside the frame of the body most of the time. Good initial footwork and leg drive, has proper knee bend never straightens up after first contact. Good square shoulders when zone blocking. Picks up man in his zone or continues on to the second level picking up the linebacker. Gets into the reach block

in a hurry but never tries to turn the man too quickly, never allowing defensive end to slip underneath. He's mobile enough to pull and trap efficiently. He drops his  hips on trap blocks this gives him the ability to get movement on bigger defenders. Never  allows rusher to get into his body. Always concentrates on maintaining balance he does not lunged.
