Luis Uceta is a change of pace type back with exceptional overall ability and versatility. He is a darter type back with very good quickness and excellent speed. He has superb change of direction skills and fluid hips. Luis is elusive in the open field and will make defenders miss. Shows very good initial burst to the line of scrimmage and does a nice job of hitting the hole hard for a smaller back. Is a tough runner for his size and does a nice job of avoiding big hits between the

tackles. He has excellent lateral movement and is very shifty once he gets to the second level. He has excellent hands and a good feel for the passing game.  Versatility is his biggest asset. As a junior he rushed  935 yards on 129 carriers for a 7.2 yards per carry average.  His ability to stop and start with no wasted motion on a dime is rare.
